Workshop Leader

Amy has led workshops for the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, HuddersfieldStoneWS2 People’s Choir, Youth Music, Yorkshire Youth and Music, Djembeat (percussion group), Good Company, Stone Choral Society, Halton Borough Council, The Marchington Singers, Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers and Sing for Pleasure.  She has a particular passion for world music, especially songs from the African Diaspora.

Amy is able to cater for specific requirements regarding appropriate repertoire and will adopt a teaching style in line with the needs of the group. She has the ability to inspire people of all ages, placing importance on musical achievement and good humour! Her preparation and attention to detail ensures that proceedings run efficiently and successfully. Amy is running a singing course at Farncombe Estate, situated in the north of the cotswolds, just outside the picturesque village of Broadway. Entitled "Choral Colours of the World", the course will invite singers to discover the joys of vocal music from many corners of the globe - from Africa and its diasporas to Europe, the Americas and beyond.
